P5WD2 Premium and New DUO CORE?

Will my P5WD2 Premium 955 chipset Motherboard work with the upcoming DUO
Core Chips being released in a few weeks?

Also, on my current rig, I have a Extreme edition processor (Chip costs over
$1,000)

Would the next generation of chip yield significant improvements?
