Question on A8N-SLI Premium Beta Bios

I am currently using the BIOS 1009 released in 2005. The website now shows two beta updates, 1001.006 released 3/7/06 and 1302 released 6/19/06. Does anyone have experience with either of these BIOS versions?

Also, what's up up with the Asus Update function. It hasn't worked for me in over 9 months. I only get two responses: too many users, or it can't find a file!
