Hi,
has anybody modded the official 1005 BIOS with
the latest SIL3114 BIOS 5.3.14
and the latest ITE8212 BIOS 1.7.1.94
or do you know the way to do it?

The 1006.006 BIOS is using SIL3114 BIOS 5.0.39 05-25-2004
and ITE IT8212 ATAPI BIOS V1.7.1.591 (as determined by
extracting the modules with mmtool.exe). So even the
latest beta does not contain the versions you seek.
Is there a reason the modules need to be updated ? If
you explain your hardware failures to Asus, that would
give them an incentive to put the latest modules in
place. If the modules are fully functional, there is no
reason to update them.

Was there ever an answer to this?
I downloaded mmtool 2.22.1 beta. Looking for a quick tutorial on usage, and
which SiI file is required.
TIA
