I ordered a new video card, but I suspect it's a waste of money.
I can't write to floppy drive. Can a bad video card cause all these
problems?
Can a bad power supply cause them? I tried searching for answers but
didn't find all the problems I'm having. I found a few of the
problemsI'm having listed
among symptoms of a bad video card or power supply, but not all
of the problems.
I tried each of the 2 sticks of RAM in each of the 4 slots, no change.
I am beginning to suspect it's the mainboard.
I'm trying to find more answers before I spend money on either a new
mainboard, power supply, or RAM
A bad power supply can be responsible for ALL your symptoms, but again
so can a bad motherboard or (very unlikely ) the CPU. unless it has
been damaged by handling without proper static protection. Please see
also my earlier reply.
