MOST P4 motherboards on the market today, including yours, are unstable with
4 GB of RAM. If you research the topic more you will find that most people
use 2
GB of RAM for dual channel's speed, or they use 3 GB for memory intensive
uses.

Running a P4C800 and upgrading to 4gb ram from 2gb.
I used Kingston valueram in 2 sets of matched 1gb cards.
After install I see only 3072MB of ram in bios display.
The Asus manual mentiones that when all sockets hold 1gb cards the
system may only detect 3+ GB but then goes on to say nearly 4GB.
What I see is missing 1 entire GB I see 3072MB in the bios.
Can someone verify if this is normal and what the manual means or what.
Checking with Belarc advisor workup, there is 4 cards found of 1gb
each.
How can I verify what I'm actually getting here.
