The proper test sequence, would be to use memtest86+ first. But in
your case, I suspect you are mixing up a frequency number and a DDR
rate, and it is important first to establish what are some correctgetting
settings, before going further. Booting Windows with the memory
errors, can screw up your Windows install.
Trust me, after reading several hundred post on this Mobo and Mem
probs it was the DDR I was speaking about running at DDR200 and not
DDR400 settings.
I have run CPUz and that is fine at 2412 Mhz with the mem at 200Mhz
2.0 2 2 5 but when I try the 4 sticks of 512 ti does not become
reliable unless I treat it like DDR200. CPU is 201Mhz (200) x 12.0,
Bios is 1011-06 and mem is set a 2T. Tried Mem86+ and had errors
after 17sets.
So I have concluded that this board does not like 4 sticks of the low
latency Kingstom Ram 2-2-2-5 so I have ordered Corsair TWINX 2048MB
PC3200 DDR 400MHz which may be a bit slower at 2-3-3-6 but two dual
Channel sticks will make the 2 Gb instead of the four 512s.
