Hi everybody.
I am running Windows XP on an Asus A8N5X motherboard.
Does anyone know if there's a way to get the USB 2.0 ports to work
without having to install that Service Pack crap? :o)
Ciao,

Exactly what is crap about the Service packs, since other than the SP2
firewall installation, most of the rest are legitimate security fixes,
driver updates ( Inc. USB 2.0) and bug fixes ? And you can disable the
Windows firewall in the UI. Plus, if you are on dialup only, afaik you
can still freely order an update CD from M$$ which contains the bulk
of the updates -- search their website. I have one of those CDs.
Unless, of course, you really don't want to have to deal with the
validation check now required to download the updates.....
