I think the bios version is listed on a sticker on the bios chip, down near
the sata plugins

the sticker on my bios reads

GS V07


I assume the 0312 is the version as that match a bioos version on the asus
cpu support page.
nobody around me had a compatible cpu for the older bios in my mobo, so I
ended up ordering a new chip from asus... kind of a piss off as the damn
mobo should work out of the box w/spending more money on it. feels like
microsofts buggy os's except you have to PAY to fix it.

Will know whether it works when the bios chip gets here in a few more
days...

Powersupplies (Generic, Enermax 450w & 500w w/eatx). I will get beeps if I
remove all ram, other than that I get squat.

Must be an older BIOS that does not support the CPUs. Both CPUs work in a
p5ls2-vn that I have.

2 questions.
-How can I tell the bios ver while being unable to boot?
-How to update the BIOS without supported CPU?

This is a real pita.
