Re: A8N32 SLI Deluxe

Rather than set out on a spontaneous rant about asus / raid 5, how about
providing details of what actually is wrong, what you have done to try to
recover from the situation, system configuration including bios version.

RAID is add-on funtionality. Asus tends to keep its BIOS and onboard
firmware up to date much better than GB (the reason I won't but GB), so
please don't leap in with any assumptions as to who is to blame - you never
know it could be that you have bad disc drives!

So, please post back with some details.

Dear all,

After running A8N32 SLI Deluxe fine for the first three days, the
system decides to stop working all the sudden.

What happened? Did you get BSOD's? What were the stop codes?

After spending 4 days of
stuffing around

What did you do & what made you do it?

I found the board does not like the RAID 5 setup, which
was using the nForce4 RAID controller.

Can anyone tell me whether there is genuine evidence that ASUS quality
control is going downhill, if not already hitting the bottom? I was
pleased with their products in the pass and was willing to try this
board out even after reading some bad things about A8N-SLI Dex/Prem. I
am not sure whether I wanna get another one of these

Surely the mobo does not need replacing? How could that be? Surely it is
under warrantee? How does on get into a broken RAID / broken motherboard
situation - I all ears on this.

and am considering
bailing out ASUS all together.

Gigabyte K8NXP Pro SLI sounds a good replacement?

What makes you think there is actually anything wrong with your Asus board?
What makes you think the GB board will fix that issue?

Thanks.
