Dual-core on SK8V

I am curious to know if I can run a dual-core CPU on this board. Since it is
socket 940, I guess my choices would be restricted to Opteron 2xx/8xx series
processors. I am currently using an Opteron 148, rated at 2.2 GHz, so I was
wondering if an Opteron 275 (also rated at 2.2 GHz) would work. Anyone has
any experience with this issue? The latest BIOS release for this board only
stated that it enabled support for "new CPUs" without any further details.
Can anyone from Asus comment? I am extremely satisfied with my computer, it
is the most stable I have ever built, but as you guys must know, when the
possibility of improving arizes...

My current rig:

Asus SK8V - BIOS nr 1003 (final)
Opteron 148 CPU
Mushkin 1024 MB high-perf ECC Registered (2x 512 MB)
ATI Radeon 2800 Pro 128 MB
Western Digital Raptor 74 GB 10000rpm SATA * a must! *
Enermax EG465P-VE 450W PSU
Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu CPU HSF w/ Arctic Silver 5
Zalman ZM-NB47J passive North Bridge cooler
LaCie DVD/CD drive & burner
Antec 600-series case with Pax-Mate sound proofing
Plenty of noisy 80mm fans

thanks for any insight

Guillaume
