A friend of mine bought a PC with this board, with windows Media Center
Edition. Problem is that when trying to watch TV the system freezes within
a few seconds. A reset is neccesary.
We've tried another TV-card. I tried updating the video driver, the Nvdia
drivers for the board and installed all the windows updates. Also I tried
installing mediaportal, an open source alternative to Mediacenter. With
this software there is the same problem, the system just crashes.
So I'm at a loss here. The system runs fine apart from the TV function.
The components in the system are (from memory, so not complete):
-AMD 64 3500
-1024 MB Corsair
-ATI Radeon 1600
-Haupage TV card
-Western Digital SATA hard disk
Any suggestions to solve this would be welcome!

Try moving the TV card to a different PCI adapter slot.
