Re: P4BGL-MX Motherboard Problem!!

In article <1140321760.019336.93480@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,
ananth.temp@xxxxxxxxx says...
I Purchased an ASUS P4BGL-MX Motherboard, and it was working fine, for
2.5 years. But, last week, i encountered a problem with it:

I Operated my PC, for about 4-5hrs., as usual, and switched it off, for
the sake of cooling. And after 10-20 mins, i again switched it on,
using my ATX power switch, and , to my dismay, i found the
Motherboard`s LED, was glowing, and the CPU`s fan, also started
spinning, but there was no output to the monitor, or any other device
at all. No System Speaker beeps, too..
I have another system, for standby operations. Hence, i could test my
CPU, RAM, and the tests proved that CPU, and RAM, were in perfect
condition. But, when, i tested my motherboard, with a different RAM,
and CPU, the problem existed. I also tested my monitor, and it was
working very well. Is the problem, with my motherboard, unrepairable?
I`ve also tried several Jumper Configurations, and even wakeup-sleep
modes. No Toggle/combination works.. :-(

To summarize, I`ve listed my problems :
----------------------------------------------------------
1.Motherboard LED, is "ON".
2.CPU Fan spins.
3.RAM is Functional (256MB DDR).
4.CPU is functional.
5.Monitor works well.

From my knowledge, i feel that either my Bios/CMOS, is Fatal, or there
is some problem with the mounted capacitors, on board. I`ve also
checked the soldered joints, of all the parts in my MB, and they`re all
fine.

If Anyone could give me an expertise suggestion, it would save me time.

Thanks in Advance.

Your power supply could be bad.
