2 poblems over here, it all started when installing WinXP-pro (SP2). With
WinXP Home everything was ok..
1) when i put the system in stand-by the PSU is still running (fan),and ,i
think, also the case fans (maybe also the cpu-fan). The screen goes black,
and the led on my case blinks, as if the system is on stand-by.... With XP
Home )(SP2) this worked perfectly...so what's wrong??
2) Same problem: with XP home Cool 'n Quiet worked perfectly, but now....
yes i've eneabled the CnQ in the BIOS, Yes also minimum power is enabled,
and installed the driver (1.2.2), but it doesn't work..
I've noticed in the manual that ACPI 2.0 has to be enabled. But i can't find
it under Power in the BIOS! That's strange because i didn't changed the BIOS
and with XP-Home CnQ did work. In the Power menu i can only choose: ACPI
S1(POS), ACPI S3 (STR) or S1&S3. Also after upgrading the BIOs to the latest
revision (1016) there's no ACPI 2.0. ACPI APIC support is enabled (don't
know what it is, but maybe it's important with this issue)
Some details about the system i'm using:
Asus A8N SLI-Deluxe
BIOS 1016
AMD XPdriver 1.2.2.
Athlon64 3500+ CPU
160gb SATA WD
ASUS EN6600GT GPU
2* 512 mb Corsair valueselect
So, as told, the only thing i've done is installing XP-Pro, with XP Home
everything was perfect...
Help!
