DDR problem

Trying to install a 512 MB 400 MHz DDR Dimm module in my A7M266 Asus
board, to replace a 256 MB 256 MHz DDR. It boots up in Windows 2000,
but after the start screen, I get the infamous blue screen with an error
that the ACPI BIOS is not compatible with the ACPI specification. Is
the problem due to using
too fast a chip? The 512 appears to have the same chip layout as the
old 256 module.

                                  Sherwin D.
