Re: Asus p4b266

Well, I don't have that motherboard or processor any longer, having gotten
rid of it about six months ago when I switched over to an AMD platform
(again!).

Anyhow, I had owned the 2.6-MHz version of the P4 (400-MHz FSB) for at least
a year, probably closer to a year-and-a-half actually. At the time I
upgraded to the 2.6, I was running a 2.4 like you. My daughter was overdue
for an upgrade, so instead of just buying another 2.4, I found a 2.6 for
myself at a good price, and then I put the existing 2.4 into the box I built
for her.

I knew that I would be keeping my P4B266 for at least another year, so I
figured that since my daughter needed an upgrade anyhow, I may as well get
the fastest processor available for my own motherboard and let her have my
old processor.
