For the moment stick with your Intel setup until dual core cpu's push down
the price of faster single core Athlon 64's as moving to a S754 setup is a
technological dead end and it will not be a noticable upgrade if it is an
upgrade at all. A Sempron 3400+ is going to be faster at some things but
slower at others than a 3.2 Prescott, In the next few months as dua lcore
becomes more desirable the prices of these cpus will drop making Chips like
the 3800+ A64 drop like a stone in price & you have plenty of choice for
cheap S939 motherboards these day making the argument forS754 value boards
moot.
Regards
Marko.
P.S. also dont write Intel off yor shopping list just yet either though as
they will have next gen chips out to push their single core offerings down
in price also.
