A7V333, Promise Controller - drive write error messages sometimes

I have a Master/Slave setup for IDE0 with two hard drives, and a CD-R/W and
a DVD-R/W as 2ndary Master/Slave,

On the Promise Controller as 1+0 RAID (i.e. as a third hard drive) I have a
200 Gb Seagate ATA 100. For some reason I get write Errors sometimes after
the system has been sitting for a while. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
