Isn't your current BIOS version listed on the very first screen that
appears during POST? On that screen, you should see the following at
the top of the monitor:
"Phoenix - Award BIOS v6.00PG, An Energy Star Ally, Copyright
1984-2005, Phoenix Technologies, LTD
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe ACPI BIOS revision xxxx"
where xxxx is your current BIOS version
You didn't say where the Raptor's connected, but I assume that it's on
the nVidia SATA controller. Correct? Since you're not using the
SI3114 RAID controller, it should be disabled in BIOS before
proceeding further. Thereafter, you shouldn't see that message about
the SI BIOS on POST.
Note that some have had difficulty using DiamondMax 9 drives with
A8N-SLI series of motherboards.
