My monitor is a 17 inch UltraSharp Wide Screen XGA+ Display. A few
months ago vertical line running from top to bottom appeared about a
half inch from the left edge. It wasn't too annoying, but a week or
two ago another one came in about 3 inches from the right. Now I have
another one about 3 inches from the left.

Instead of getting the same kind of display, I was wondering if I
could replace it with a better quality one without changing the video
output. Can someone recommend a good replacement?

OK, we need to know the exact resolution you are running at to answer that question. XGA+ is not a widescreen aspect ratio resolution. WXGA+ is 1440 X 900.

Assuming 1440 X 900:

or

Both are excellent monitors, slightly larger than what you had. They have the same native resolution, assuming your current monitor is WXGA+. -Dave
