I'm looking at the AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core, but a willing to change if
another processor gives a better price/performance combination with
this MB.
I have no hard data.
I opted for the X2 DUAL Core 6000. The memory will be the 800 DDR2
This was based upon the fact that, for the board I am looking at,:
1) The1066 DDR2 memories are *not* JEDIC registered. Hence you don't what
your getting.
2) The Gigabyte web site out of Taiwan left a cryptic note about the 1066
DDR2 with the implication that only 2 GB can be used and those my slip back
to 800 based CAS settings. Color me nervous!!
3) The intended OS is VISTA64. I think I would rather have 4 GB of 800DDR.
4) In the event that there is a theoretical difference between the X2 and
the X4 becuse of threat handeling or I/O activity I can change the
configuration.
