I have an unusual need: While replacing an LCD inverter on my laptop,
the plastic female plug, which holds five wires, disintegrated/
crumbled. My theory is that the thing must have been getting hot as
the inverter was failing. Now I have the new inverter, but need the
plastic insulator plug (which is probably worth 2 cents, if you could
find one!)to stick the five wires in. The laptop is an HP Pavilion
ze4900. Is there some kit/packet of parts, used parts, etc. that you
might have or could refer me to where I might find this little part?
You'd have to take the pieces to radio shack or some local electronics hobby shop and hope that they carry it. Failing that, I hope you are really good with a soldering iron. -Dave
