First off, your wording is a bit odd. A UPS is powered by a battery or
batteries. The UPS is *not* a battery.
UPS = Uninterruptible Power Supply, a unit which includes a
used "batteries" because I couldn't remember off the top of my headwhether I
should use an apostrophe when talking about the plural of UPS: UPSs orUPS's.
So rather than making a grammatical error, I decided to go with thetechnical
error.to
That said, the reason your old UPS only runs a few minutes might be due
athe fact that the battery inside is now at the end of it's life...So you
may want to just replace the battery in it.
No, I want something with more power. When I bought this one, I only had
17" monitor. That monitor soon went out, and keeping with my tradition, Imay,
increase the size of my monitor every time I have to buy a new one. I
however, replace the battery in this unit and use it for the monitoralone,
then get another UPS and use it for the other stuff.down
Of course , if you want to have your computer on a seperate UPS from the
monitor etc, that's fine too...
as mentioned, the USB connection is simply there to have the UPS shut
UPS Iyour machine safely... and you need to software to allow that
Yeah, I'm not really happy with the software that came with this Belkin
have now.

Ok...go for it.
On my job I sometimes get access to de-commissioned professional quality
UPS's
and their batteries. I think if the power went out here for 24 hours, my
computers would stay running!
Here is *one* of my three main systems!
