Re: FREE AMD flash drive with Athlon LE CPU purchase

It's AMD's latest offering on the AM2 platform.
Specs:
45 Watts (compared to the 89 Watts of earlier models)
That's nice.
2.44 GHz (should overclock to ~ 2.7 GHz or higher)
1 MB L2 cache
1.25 Volts
Retail boxed version, with heatsink, fan, & 3 year warranty
It's a single core,
There are dual core CPUs for AM2 mainboards.
but if you're like me & still using something older,
Depends on how much older, and how much cheaper dual core CPUs
become.
it represents a great way to upgrade to an AM2 or AM2+ board.
For $50 with the 512 MB flash drive, yeah, depending on what your
current system is.
Good luck and have fun (but don't expect "a mean Vista machine that
can do about all you want done with ease" like the review says).
