hey i've a little problem with my computer. on turning it on, i get a

that i don't understand - ***STOP: 0x000000ED (0x80EF5E30, 0x0000032,

Those *** stand for Unmountable Boot Drive, right? Whoa dude! You're
totally hosed. Not only is that computer fried, but if you ever try
owning or using another computer in the future, that one will be fried
too!!1! OMG!
Just kidding.
i was wondering if anyoner here couldn't help me trying to figure out
what is wrong with it, please? My mother is thinking of giving it to a
guy who says its a harddrive problem and that it has to be wiped clean
which means losing all my work over the last 3years. and don't say it
i know i should have backed them up.
I would really appreciate a hand here,
all thanks... kerry gall
First off, don't let anyone wipe the partition and your work. That's
totally unnecessary. If you re-seat or replace the harddrive's data
cable, most likely it will work again. If it doesn't, you can at least
have the drive put into another computer so your files can be copied off
and preserved.
In the future, try putting the error message (STOP: 0x000000ED) into
Google. They crawl the MS knowledgebase and make it easy to find the kb
references to such errors.
