I just installed a PCI SATA RAID controller card that comes with two
SATA ports. I hooked a SATA drive to the primary controller.
Now when I boot I get a message that says the card is installed and
reports the drive, but then hangs. Secondary channel: Drive not
found. It says hit F4 for RAID options, but hitting F4 does nothing
reset your boot sequence
I have looked through the bios. I have an option to boot from other
disabled. The bios is set to boot from hd0 which is the way it was.
Booting with the new hard drive plugged into the card hangs the
machine.
When I plug in the drive and check the bios it is not listed. I
assume this would be "boot from other"
