I am about to build a new machine and have only ordered a few bits so far

Can someone give me an idiots guide to what cables to order for my HD DVD
and Floppy drives?
Many thanks

Some motherboard manuals, include a short section listing the contents of
the motherboard box. That is one way to discover what is included.
The pictures on Newegg, of motherboard products, also show the box contents.
You can get an idea of what is included, by looking at those pictures.
For cables, I might just visit a local computer store, and see what they've
got on the racks. Considering how much you might pay to have a package couriered
to you, a drive down to the local computer store might be cheaper.
A typical 80 wire (with 40 pin connectors) cable for IDE devices. Suitable
for mixing IDE hard drive and a DVD drive if you want, on the same cable.
(And no, you don't fold the cables like they show in the picture.)

For the floppy cables, there seem to be lots of round ones, but
the prices are higher than I'd like. The flat ones are cheaper
to make, and should as a result, be cheaper to buy.
