I've trying to reinstall windows on a friends PC, it reads the windows CDAre the drives IDE, SATA, SCSI, or ?
but keeps saying there is a problem with the registry. So I boot from the
windows CD, reinstall or repair - same thing.
Put a boot disk in, it cant see the C drive (so I can format it)
Anyone any ideas? Serious if possible!!!
If they're other than IDE, the BIOS may list/enable them as 'SCSI'.
Also, your OS may require SATA or SCSI drivers to be installed on setup.
