USB 2.0 card has Plug on the INSIDE

I just bought a used add-on card for USB 2.0. My computer only had
USB 1.0 or 1.1 (whatever it is). Anyhow, the card is a Belkin F5U219.
I dont have any instructions, but it looks like a simple plug and
play. What I dont understand is this: There are two USB plugs on the
back (outside of case slot), and one on the other end of the card,m
which means it will be INSIDE the case. What the heck is the point to
that? Unless I leave the cover off my computer, what use is the one
on the inside?

Maybe there's some new internal device that I am not aware of?????
