mobo with good linux acpi support?
Does anybody have a recent mobo they can recommend that is working
well for them in linux as far as acpi support? I have a full-size
tower system in which I'm thinking of replacing the mobo and cpu.
I'm trying to make something very energy efficient, so I'm thinking
of a celeron D, and a mobo with onboard video. My current mobo does
acpi hibernation correctly under linux, but sleep doesn't work right.
It doesn't wake from sleep mode, and doesn't actually seem to draw any
less current when it's in sleep mode.
How good is celeron D compatibility for mobos that are meant for
pentiums? Do I have to be really careful, or is it likely to work
as long as the socket is compatible?
Will a micro-atx board work in an atx case, or do I need to make
sure and find a board with a full-size atx form factor? If they're
compatible, is there any advantage or disadvantage either way?
Price?
TIA!
