It is an ASUS A8S-X motherboard, but what I "meant" to ask was
what KEY do I press to boot into safe-mode for xp?
I have tried F5-F8 and it just gives me an option to book to
either a hard drive or optical drive, no safe mode option?
The problem is that apparently ASUS isn't smart enough to know
you have to use F8 in order to enter Windows XP boot menu.
You have to select the drive, press enter, and immediately press F8
again in order to get past their stupid choice for a drive-select
hot key. Timing that second F8 can be tricky.
Good luck.
