If you are sure that the replacement PSU was working properly, then your
motherboard has died.

Hey
So, i was happily surfing on the internet the othet night, when all of
a sudden my pc just shut off, no warning at all. Now it won't power up
at all. I took everything out apart from CPU and M/B still no luck. So
i automatically thought my PSU had failed, so i went out and bought
another 450w, came home plugged the badboy in, and hey
presto..nothing. Gutted could be a word i'd use.
Now i'm at a loss of what to do, i have no spare parts, i.e a m/b or
cpu to test, i have no cash to buy any new parts. What could be the
problem, from reading through some posts people mention using a
voltage tester which i havn't got.
The m/b and cpu are only a few months old..
core2duo 2.2ghz(irrc)
XP pro sp2
450w power
Nvidia 6600GT
Asus motherboard (i forget the model, but it supports both AGP and PCI-
E)
Help me please! I can't survive without the tinternet at my beck and
call!
TIA
.
