Re: Where can I get an obsolete motherboard?

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately both links refer to the Asrock
ASR-P4I65G and, despite what the headline details say, this board does NOT
support RAID which I need to recover my multi-boot system. This board crops
up everywhere!!!
I wasn't expecting anyone to do the detailed searching for me but I did
wonder if there was a site that could match components to boards. A long
shot, but worth a try!
Perhaps I've discovered a gap in the marketplace?

Thanks again,

Roger

Following my motherboard dying, I'm looking for a replacement for a m/c
built in 2004 to match my existing components. I can find a few boards
with the necessary spec. listed on the Web, but those retail sites that
will sell to the UK have none in stock.

Can anyone recommend a source that deals in such obsolescent boards?

Pentium 4 2.80E
2 x 512Mb DDR PC3200 - Crucial RAM
Asus ATi Radeon 9600XT - AGP8 - 128Mb
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Digital
2 x Western Digital 120 GB SATA (No PATA in use at present)
RAID 0 (Essential)

That's hardly obsolete. I'm surprised you are having trouble finding a
board for that. I found a couple in the UK, and I don't live in the UK.

stock, ships same day)

left!)

I'm not a huge asus fan (that's an understatement), but both of these
boards look like they should patch you up long enough to get you to your
next rebuild at least. -Dave
