windows?!
Sounds like the MBR is jacked.
FAT32 boot from ESUD from win98/ME and fdisk /mbr at the prompt.
NTFS I fixed this by booting from the XP disk...do a repair install (not
'r' from the console), when the notice comes up" XP had to repair your HD
and must reboot." Reboot, but take out the XP disk and try boot from the
HD instead.

I was on the internet yesterday and my PC locked up. When I tried to
reboot, I received the following error message "Invalid System Disk -
Replace
the disk, and then press any key".
There's no floppy disk in the A: drive. When I restart the PC my hard
drive
is detected during startup. I confirmed in the BIOS that my hard drive
is
detected.
I never see the Windows splash screen and I cannot get the
PC to boot up in Safe mode.
I tried a couple of things in the BIOS to no avail. Someone suggested
to reboot the computer with the CD but I lost it.
Nothing is working and I am getting the same error message. Please
help with any help and/or suggestions.
