Two questions:
1) A very bright line has appeared across the centre of my flat panel
screen. Any ideas?

Go into the BIOS (press DEL on bootup?) and find the entry to do with Case
2) I have an older Acer desktop that I have recently installed new RAM.
Now every time at boot up, I get a message saying the cover has been
removed, press F1 to continue. Any ideas for getting rid of this message?
Intrusion Detection and disable it. Save and exit. That should fix it.
