I wonder if it could be due to the RAM brand...? I use the 7AXP but
only use a AMD2000 CPU.... I seem to recall the RAM brand was
important when running at 'full speed'.
As an idea would it be worth trying the bios in either Optimized
default or Load Fail-safe default mode...?
Have you used the right bios flash.. see link
you'll have to navigate to the right mobo version.. the bios version
is usually displayed briefly at boot up.
To reset the bios I have to remove the battery, there ain't no links
or switches I can see and I like to removed the power lead from from
mobo as well as the wall socket, I think 30 seconds was mentioned, I
leave it for at least 3 minutes.

... of Info that you had found about the RAM Modules & BIOS/Motherboard ... If it was just WinXP, it might have been worth doing another Install ... It must be the BIOS that does this ... Manually Set the various Figures & Settings to be used. ...

... everything seems to be hooked up and in the right spot for the mobo (24 pin ... had it set up on the tableand had a vocal post with out ram ... Been reading here and there that others are having bios problems with these ... Asus has also been known to offer ...
