I don't like promoting a merchant that seems to have little
competition, but if I were you I would buy a video card from NewEgg.
I did a ton of window shopping two months ago for a video card, and
NewEgg has a huge selection of video cards for less money than other
merchants. You can get a very fast card in the $200 - $300 range. I
would go with NVIDIA over ATI, again also noting the fact NVIDIA is
dominant.

By the way, there are two large videocard groups here on USENET, one
for ATI and the other for NVIDIA, maybe after your choices are
narrowed and you have specific questions.
