Don't think I will be upgrading my box anytime soon to accommodate Vista.

I ran it on my wife's computer. No upgrades necessary. Deleted the
install file.
Was going to run it on my computer. Went to the microsoft web site, and
it's no longer available.
Can someone post it to a binary group, and post here to let us know

You'll have plenty of time.MS plans for a 10 year lifespan for Vista.
