Re: Skybuck's Dream PC for 2006 Full Report, Posting 1

I already build this system.

Don't you get it ?

I am reporting about it.

What I like and don't like about it and what could be improved.

Call it a dream system... call it a victory system.

Whatever ;)

Bye,
Skybuck.

Absolute basic system: 3283
Extra desired system: 3283 + 1006 = 4289
Extreme system system: 3283 + 1006 + 589 = 4878
Transported system: 3283 + 1006 + 589 + 207 = 5085 (give or take a few
pennies/bucks ;))

Skybuck, IMHO you often take a lot of unjust flak on these news forums,
but personally I think your (relatively regular) posts show that PCs, like
customising cars, building decent home cinema systems (one of my faults),
or in fact any obsessive hobby can have almost no upper limit in terms of
cost, and the next upgrade is like the holy grail to be achieved at all
costs.

But... whatever you want to dream about spending your hard earned bucks
on, then fine - that's your thing, and fair play to you for having the
balls to publish your dreams!!!

I do however suggest you don't cross-post to *quite* so many newsgroups
though, tends to wind people up the wrong way! :-\

I'd actually be quite interested to know which of your numerous "dream
systems" you have ever actually got round to building, or if they're
purely pipe dreams. Drop me an email (dump the nospam_ bit if you do).

Keep on dreaming & playing dodgeball with the flak... :-)

Cheers,

Neil.
