Hello All,
A friend of mine bought his computer over for me to have a look at it. I
need to do a reinstall, but it's a Hewlett Packard with windows installed
on a hidden partition. He had no other discs with him, so I was wondering
how one goes about getting at the hidden partition to begin the reinstall
process. I can get into recovery console ok, and can see the hidden
partition. But I imagine that there must be some sort of a rescue disk
that is needed to get the whole process started? Any advice would be
gladly recieved.TIA.
HP permits the creation of one set of XP backup CDs or DVDs. Once this is
accomplished, you can simply pop it in the drive as you would with any
purchased version of XP and can do a full install from them including disk
formatting.

There's a knob called "Brightness" but it doesn't work.
