In reality, the group is simply alt.comp.pc-homebuilt.
The interfaces provided by Google and Yahoo and the like are quite
slow and awkward. You might find that getting a newsreader program is
more user-friendly, particularly if you are accessing a lot of
newsgroups. I use Forte Agent, which works very nicely, but even
Outlook Express has a newsgroup interface, and it's free. You also
need a newsgroup server, but your ISP probably provides one.
Otherwise you can get access to a very performant newsgroup server for
a few dollars a month.
so im gonna fukin call it google groups...and why does that bother you
soo much?? you get personally offended when i call yur usenet google
groups??
Some people like to criticize other people; usually these are the same
people who never get around to actually answering anyone's questions.
Just ignore it--especially on newsgroups, where it is ubiquitous.
