I have used Kaspersky AV since it was AVP and sold by an outfit

back. For the last number of years I had stuck with their version 5
by not downloading the new stuff but merely renewing 5.0 by using the
newer key. However, when my latest key expired I figured I had better
move up to their newer version - 8.0.0.506, because of all the newer
type of viruses in the wild these days.. Big mistake. Next to the
trim version 5, their latest version is a piece of bloated crapware.
Yeah, it might work, but it is ridiculous overkill with its myriad
settings and totally confusing "Help" file. It's "Help" file has to
rival "Gone With The Wind" for length and complexity.
I strongly urge anyone thinking of buying this bloatware to take the
30 trial version first. Yep, you're right. Since I had used their
older version for so many years and had it protect me so well, I
trustingly jumped right in and bought it before using the trial one.
Dumb! (Yes, I had first tried Avira, but had that nonsense LSP
crapola happen to me, so I dismissed using that product.)
Now that I've relieved my frustration somewhat with my small bitch-
tantrum, I will get to my question: How does one set this version 8.0
to allow me the choice of skipping the "chosen" action of deleting or
quarantining a file that I know is good, despite what version 8.0
might be saying about it? All I can see it that I must either delete
or quarantine such files. I can find no choice that would allow me to
skip it.
I hate this damn version, but I'm sure with it's over abundance of
interfaces and choices it will please the computer mag reviewers to
no end, since they've always complained that Kasperksy/AVP was to
"limited" in it's interface for newbies.
I'm giving it chance, though. But I still have my backup copy of
version 5.0. at hand.
Another thing: I wish AV programs would stay just AV programs and
stop trying to be all things to all people by adding half-assed
detection for all other types of malware into their AV proggies.

From the subject line I was expecting a question not a long winded rant.
