Hit "Ctrl-Alt-Del"
That will start the Task Manager

Go to; File --> New task (run)
enter; explorer.exe

Does your DeskTop now come up ?

Thanks for your reply.

Ctrl-Alt-Del fails to respond. Same thing over and over. The screen
turns default sky blue and gives the "loading your personal settings"
pop up. This lasts a couple seconds after which the screen turns
grass green. I do not use wall paper. Just a solid grass green. After
30 seconds the sky blue and loading pop up appear for a couple seconds
then back for another 30 seconds of green ... etc .. etc . I even tried
waiting for the sky blue screen to try the Ctrl-Alt-Del. Naw.. Just
wishful thinking down the drain.

I do know that I checked off a box having to do with eset searching
for software apps or something or other. Perhaps it removed said
explorer.exe .. ( ..? ).

Why does it even load the green screen ( which was one of my personal
settings ) ?
