Strange entry in Services - what is this?

While adjusting a setting in Administrative Tools/Services, I noticed this as the first entry. It is running and startup is automatic

Logon as: Local System

I ran Process Explorer and it showed no process with anything like this. I googled and got nothing either.

Any ideas as to what this might be? Is it dangerous? What in the world is it doing?
