Re: AVG Free and newsgroup scanning
Does AVG Free scan newsgroups (NNTP)? And if so, is it enabled by
default? I could not see any reference to this in the E-mail Scanner
settings.
AFAIK, AVG Free doesn't deal with NNTP.
A while back, something in a newsgroup posting infected my computer. That's
when I stopped using Outlook Express. I switched to xnews
(
http://xnews.newsguy.com/). Since then, there have been no problems.
