where is Norton Antivirus putting temp files as it scans?

I'm running NAV 2003, and I have 1.5 gb free space on the hard drive
partition when I run it, and it isn't enough. It's always running out of
space halfway through the scan, and then it stops until I notice the
problem. I'd like to figure out where it's grabbing the space...does anyone
know where NAV 2003 is putting temp files while it scans?
Does anyone know a solution for this problem, beside having more space on
the hard drive...1.5 gb is plenty for me.
