I you really want a "free" AV product then choose from:

A. AntiVir (PersonalEdition Classic = Free)

or even better, AVS (active virus shield) which is an AOL-packaged (don't let that put you off, just don't install the optional toolbar) free version of Kaspersky Antivirus, just about the best.
