My computer sync'ed with the handheld device but thereafter ActiveSync won't
see the handheld at all. On scanning, it says "your device was not
detected". This despite the OS making the appropriate sound when I take the
device out of its cradle and beeping again when I put it back in to let me
know it has recognised it
I called the hand held manuf and they told me that NAV is preventing the OS
from seeing the handheld beyond the initial contact: It seems to have made a
rule preventing the OS from seeing the handheld (not sure if they meant
NAVor NIS)
I tried going to the Personal Firewall screen and adding ActiveSync (which
wasn't there) and it said it would autoconfigure it but ActiveSync still
wont see the device. Intrusion Detection reports nothing automatically
blocked.
Does anyone know how to cure this without uninstalling either Norton
product?
