AVG Installation
Hi everybody, i had the free version of AVG installed but everytime it did
an automatic update it required me to restart my computer. I decided to
uninstall AVG then re-install it. Trouble is that now when I attempt
installation, the installer falls over with the error message:-
Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avg7dos.lng: creating file....
Changing language to 67698688 failed.
General failure.
Anybody seen this error before. I have tried System Restore, but SR wont let
me restore to an earlier time. I was wondering if perhaps the Windows Auto
Update of the Java runtime Environment has caused this because there is a
foreign languages update in there somewhere. I have also just installed SP2.
I was getting the restart error before SP2 though.
Cheers,
SSK
