Trouble is if you don't use IE, a lot of sites won't work, in particular
online photo sites, they all seem to want to install active x for versatile
uploading. I've had no trouble with IE. I always have a good image of my C
drive, can restore in a matter of minutes if I had to. Normal precautions
are of course always in order and I keep system updated, use Avast and Winxp
firewall..
