Friend of mine, running WinXP, has lots of trouble with unsavoury pop-ups continually appearing while he's on the web. On running msconfig, startup
tab, shows that a prog called 'mikejones.exe' is loading at startup. He
doesn't know what this is, and I've never heard of it, can't find any info
on it.
Is this a virus/trojan/causing popups? can it be safely deleted?

Why am I getting this entry? ... I am getting this entry (i think it occurs on startup):...DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. ...
